Frequently Asked Questions

What are dental discount plans?

Discount plans are designed for individuals and their families to save money on their dental care. These plans have participating network providers that have agreed to pre-negotiated rates for dental, vision, hearing, prescriptions, and chiropractic care. Discount Plans do not have the same restrictions as dental insurance and discount plans have automatic acceptance. Participants in the plan will simply show their membership card at a participating provider and receive their discount at the visit. No surprises!

How does it work?

Members pay an annual or monthly fee and receive a membership card. Members simply show their membership card to a participating network provider at the time of service and receive significant discounts on services.

What is the difference between dental discount plans and insurance?

Dental Discount Plans are an easy-to-use alternative to dental insurance for individuals, families, and groups. They are sometimes referred to as dental savings plans. With a dental discount plan, you can save from 15%-50% on all dental procedures immediately from thousands of network board certified participating general dentists and also dental specialists nationwide. It's very Simple! Simply show your membership ID card at a participating provider and receive your savings instantly.

Can I use a dental discount plan if I have insurance?

Yes. In some cases individuals and their family exhaust their dental insurance benefits, have waiting periods, and exclusions. Dental Savings plans can help individuals and their families save on dental care when placed in those types of situations. Additionally, dental savings plans include savings on cosmetic dental procedures and in most cases cosmetic procedures are not included in dental insurance plans.

How many times can I use my membership card?

United Dental Solutions is dedicated to saving you as much money as possible on your dental care. You can use your plan as often as you need to. There are no limits to how may times you can save. We want to help you pay less and smile more.

What if I have existing dental needs?

If you have existing dental needs, you will be able to use the plans. Many members have joined at a time when they were experiencing dental complications and wanted to save on their dental care.

Can I switch plans?

Yes. You can switch plans at anytime.

Do I have to use a network provider?

Yes, and you can change providers at anytime. Our plans have a large network of providers. It is possible that your existing provider could be listed as a participating provider.

How soon can I use my plan?

Members are allowed to use their plan shortly after joining. Unlike Insurance you will not have a waiting period. After joining, members will receive an email which will contain their membership information.

How much will I save?

Savings range from 15% to 50%. On average some members save around 45% on their dental care. Typically the savings received during one trip to the dentist pays for the plan itself.

Is there plan price matching at United Dental Solutions?

Yes. Please call us to discuss dental plan price matching. Price matching is ONLY for the dental plan itself.

Are cosmetic procedures included?

The discount plan offers discounts on:

  • Bonding
  • Veneers
  • Dental Implants
  • Orthondontic treatment (adults and children)
  • Teeth whiting
  • Other cosmetic treatments
What if I cancel my plan?

The Participant may terminate participation in the discount medical plan organization during the first 30 days of the program and receive a full refund on any fees paid for the discount medical plan organization less a processing fee. The processing fee is non-refundable except in AR, MD, and TN. Following the first thirty (30) days, the Participant may cancel participation at any time. United Dental Solutions must receive notification at least five (5) business days in advance of the next billing cycle for the Participant not to be charged for that billing cycle. If notice of cancellation is not received prior to the end of the then current billing cycle, cancellation of payment will occur at the next billing cycle
